Heike Paul participates in the DFG round table event "The Future of the English Major. Anglistik und Amerikanistik in Deutschland: Eine kritische Bestandsaufnahme" ('English and American Studies in Germany: A Critical Assessment'). The event is organized by Eva von Contzen, Maria Sulimma, and Anne Rüggemeier, sponsored by the German Research Foundation, and takes place as a three-day workshop at the University of Freiburg from February 12 to 14, 2025. Together with more than 30 experts from the field of English and American studies, Heike Paul will discuss the current state and future perspectives of English as a Major in the German academic landscape.
