Conference & Talk | "Messy Beginnings" at Vienna | 18.-20.10.23

The conference on "Messy Beginnings" - organized by the ifk International Research Center for Cultural Studies at the University of Art and Design Linz in Vienna and conceptualized by Karin Harrasser (ifk) and Heike Paul - is taking place from October 18-20, 2023 at Vienna. Besides the "Welcome and Introduction" (together with Karin Harrasser), Heike Paul is also giving a talk, which is titled "A Colony, Lost and Found. American Beginnings Revisited" and examines the failed first attempts at colonizing America with the settlement at Roanoke by Sir Walter Raleigh and the legacy thereof.
