Amerikanischer Staatsbürgersentimentalismus

Sentimentalism in American political culture has been a firmly established pattern for generating public sentiment and community building since the founding of the United States, and it often occurs with particular poignancy in times of crisis. This book discusses Donald Trump's departure from the conventions of sentimental political symbolism as the backdrop for the invigoration of a sentimental activism against his presidency and his politics that is displayed in public articulations of grief, compassion, and empathy.
